Jim Helsinger - Reiko z MK Conquest. Odpowiada na pytania Polskich fanów MK dnia 1.XII.2003

MK Center: Do you play any Mortal Kombat games?

Jim Helsinger: Yes. Conquest at the arcade.

MK Center: Will there be a second season of MK Conquest?

Jim Helsinger: I dont think so.

MK Center: Did you like working with the people on MKC?

Jim Helsinger: Yes, a lot. It was a good time.

MK Center: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Jim Helsinger: I fish, read books, and spend time with my 4 year old daughter.

MK Center: Have you ever met the creators of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and John Tobias?

Jim Helsinger: Nope.

MK Center: Who is your favorite fighter in the MK games?

Jim Helsinger: Rieko, of course. Thats me. How often do you get to play yourself in a game?

MK Center: Rayden (Jeff Meek) is funny in real life as he is in the show?

Jim Helsinger: Yes, he was great to work with and fun to be around. He is a light hearted professional that makes the experience fun to be around.

Its interesting working with someone wearing a skull mask with forks on it (look closely and youll see them). We laughed alot. Flames would shoot up behind the throne every time he spoke, and sometimes I could barely remember my line. It was frightening and funny at the same time, recording it.

MK Center: What was your favorite episode to do?

Jim Helsinger: Both of them were great. I had my own scene the second time around, so maybe that was a bit better.

Did you know that the sound studios for MK are located at Disney MGM studios and that there were tourists sitting up in the gallery watching us all the time we filmed? That was interesting.

MK Center: What projects are you currently working on now?

Jim Helsinger: I just played Cyrano de Bergerac on stage, directed A Tuna Christmas at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, I am the playwright of a new version of Christmas Carol that opens this week and I am in pre-production for Antony and Cleopatra this March.

MK Center: Who would you like to play besides Reiko?

Jim Helsinger: Dont know.

MK Center: What was your favorite part of the show?

Jim Helsinger: Filming my reaction to seeing Meeks torture a priest. It was fun and then looked great once post-production added the special effects. Also, talking through the mouth of high priest.

MK Center: Would you please tell me if there are any plans of doing a MK3?

Jim Helsinger: I dont know of any.

MK Center: Have you seen MK The Movie and MK Annihilation?

Jim Helsinger: Oh yeah.

MK Center: What do you think about Kristanna Loken (Taja)?

Jim Helsinger: Hot.

MK Center: Have you ever been in Poland? What do you think about this country?

Jim Helsinger: No, but I have been to India, Nepal, Thailand, Bali, France, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, England, the UK, Italy, Beligum, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Canada, Mexico and Kenya. Poland is on the the list. Ill get there. Your country sounds great!
